I’ve overhauled, but the car still won’t start?

I’ve overhauled a mitsubishi Diamante ’92 DOHC V6 engine. I’ve timed the engine, when I try to start it, it cranks but it doesn’t start. I’ve changed the crankshaft position sensor and retimed the engine again. I’ve also check is there’s fuel going into the cylinders, also if the spark plugs start. But it still won’t start. Do any of you have any suggestions to what I can do?

If the engine won’t start, one of these things is likely missing…

Can you turn over the engine with enough speed for the starter motor to catch? If this doesn’t happen, does your battery have enough charge?

Is the fuel/air mix correct for your injectors/carbeurettor?

    Do you have enough spark?

    Is your timing correct?

Is the compression normal? The engine will probably be hard to start if the compression is below 80 psi.

    Hope that helps.
